We got twelve new chicks that were hatched
on April 27, 2005. Our older chickens are in retirement
elsewhere in Pepperell, so we will go egg-less for the summer. But ain't
they cute?
We have four New Hampshire Reds, four Plymouth Barred Rocks, and four Black
Austrolorps.
In April 2003, we got our first chickens. We bought day old chicks that
were supposed to be all female.
But we ended up with seven hens, and one rooster with an attitude.
