| During the fall of 2000 we went to China. I was there for work, and Amy came along just 'cause she had never been there. I think Amy got the better deal, but I was able to see some sights on weekends. We went to Shanghai, Beijing, Chengdu, Foshan, and Hong Kong. |
| We visited the Great Wall in Simatai. It is practically unrestored here, and much less visited than the Badaling or Mitianyu sections of the wall. The land was very rugged with a steep uphill hike to get to the wall. Definitely a high point of the trip. |
